THIS IS AN ALTERNATE SOURCE TO THE EXISTING circulated downloads of this show. It comes from a tape trade I made not soon after the tour ended.
A. The quality of this source is not as good as the more circulated version
B. You can hear the recorder or a close companion chearing along with the intro and throughout some of the early numbers is different than on the more circulated version.
C. This version contains the taped mecahanical mechanisms INTRO to the show before Paul gets on the mic and before the announcer.
D. This version contains Gene's bass solo which is missing on all versions of shows dated 3/9/84.
E. this version is missing the end of Black Diamond, Lick It up, and Rock And roll all night.
according to my tape trading list, i should have the last 10 minutes of the show somewhere but for the life of me can't find it on any of my cassettes.
So for now, here is an alternate source of the FIrst Night's show at Radio City in 1984. This one at least gives us the missing INTRO and BASS SOLO that are missing on the other source. Perhaps a good Matrix-ing of Source 1 FLAC, MP3, and Source 2 is in order to get us the perfect. complete show.
Also of note, this show is almost always mistaken for the second night's show and mis-labeled as such. If you have a show dated 3/10 you should make sure it is not the version where this show has been used with EXCITER added to the set to make it seem like its a different set. EXCITER was NOT played at the second show. I know, I was there.
