Roger Waters
Rosemont Horizon, Chicago, IL
1984-07-26
Recorder 5 (!)

Lineage: cass[1?]. Transferred on a Luxman K-240 circa 2002.

Length: 120:40m

I want to say this tape was borrowed from Ron F. but I can't be sure. It is what I believe a first generation cassette and is the same taper as "Roger Waters - 1984-07-26 - Two Hitch Hikers Slumped In The Back Seat", although this one sounds much better (at least to me).

There's not much else to say: I transferred the tape at 16/48 and wanted to put it on DAT via an SDT-9000 but I guess I just made SHNs out of it back then. I just discovered the data CD now and had completely forgotten about this.

It is not even the best sounding recorder for this date - so for completists only.

BUZZCOCKS
Leicester 2006 [no label, 1CD]

Summer Sundae. Live at De Montfort Hall, Leicester, UK; August 13, 2006. Very good BBC broadcast.

Two days after Buzzcocks singer-songwriter-guitarist Pete Shelley passed away (December 6, 2018), the BBC pulled out this show from their archives as a tribute. Shelley died of a heart attack at the age of 63.

The punk band, which included  Howard Devoto, are best known for their hit, Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn’t’ve). BBC music correspondent Lizo Mzimba said the Buzzcocks, who formed in Bolton in the 1970s, were regarded as more polished, but musically no less influential, than the Sex Pistols. And Shelley’s music had inspired generations of musicians over a five-decade career with his band and as a solo artist.
