Caliente. Palabra que casa en meritorio maridaje con lo que Fernando Arbex soñó para sus Barrabás, pues el proyecto era un pequeño universo creado para ser dirigido por sus expertas manos. Está el que intuye las visiones en lo que fue el último trabajo de Brincos, ya sin el artículo delante para internacionalizarlos. Sólo quedaban Arbex y Manolo González de la vieja guardia, siendo World, Devil, Body un querer acercarse más a Iron Butterfly que a Malo, que es a lo que recordaría el primer LP de Barrabás. Entremedias quedaba la apuesta Alacrán en la que Fernando sí tanteó el asentamiento definitivo entre un guirigay de influencias que le apasionaban. Junto a Joao Antonio Vidal, Tito Duarte, Iñaki Egaña y, ante todo, los viejos conocidos Ricky y Miguel Morales (hermanos de Junior que entraron en Los Brincos tras su salida), el asunto toma un cariz apasionante que va más allá del capricho de estudio. 

El rock fusión que le sale al líder de la banda en canciones como “Wild Safari”, “Try And Try” o “Woman” es tan latino como danzón, pasando de Santana a Osibisa y a unos bajos funk que se meten en el sistema nervioso central del oyente poseyéndolo sin remisión. Enrique “Ricky” Morales le sigue la corriente escribiendo cosas como “Cheer Up”, entre José Feliciano y los America en bote de melaza, o “Chicco”, mestizaje neoyorquino de pleno Hell’s Kitchen para hermanos del barrio. Duarte a las percusiones delira un colchón que en otras formaciones suena estricto y lineal, mientras que Tito aporta imaginación y recursos como ejecutor de las notas en el pentagrama; la flauta de Joao termina de darle el toque original de un artista que lo mismo se enfrenta a las teclas como ataca instrumentos de viento. 

Para 1981 ya habrían metido la cabeza en un funk de embelesamiento disco, teniendo desde el segundo vinilo de Barrabás a Arbex como mandamás en la sombra y sin formar parte de las grabaciones como ejecutor frente a su batería.
