How do you categorise Fad Gadget?...Post-Punk?..Industrial?..New Wave?....i'll let you decide. [B] Francis John Tovey, he became Fad Gadget (c) 1979 and was quickly snapped up by Mute Records. Sometime after this recording, he began recording under his birth name. Sadly, on the 3rd april 2002, Francis John Tovey died from a heart attack, aged 45.

This was a BBC in concert show and captures the band on the 2nd of a 3 night stint at the Rainbow. This is The Rats at their best IMO....A Tonic For The Troops is one of my all-time favourite albums. I still remember my mother buying me it in 1978 in the popular department store, Goldberg's, in Edinburgh.

Electronic/synth band from Sheffield, UK (c) 1977. The only constant member since the beginning is vocalist Phil Oakey. I'm going to level with you here, I've no idea how I came into possession of this show as I've no interest in them past 1980 really. This show sees the band riding high on the wave of the socially acceptable pop scene of the 80's....thought i'd post it anyway. I'm sure I've got some real early League stuff I can post some time....

Ida Carolina Redig is a Swedish singer-songwriter, actress, music producer born July 10, 1987 in Hålta, Kungälv, Sweden.

Redig started performing at 14 with the rock band Leisure Lee and has toured as background singer for the band Kent.

She released her debut album, Standing Here, with the record label Universal Music Group.

In 2013, she wrote the song "Let's Make Love" and performed "Everywhere" for the film Love and Lemons starring Rakel Wärmländer and Sverrir Gudnason.

She released her second album, Thou Shall Not Be A Pussy, in 2014 and the third in 2016, "Tills döden skiljer oss åt". After that Redig has continued releasing singles and EPs in Swedish.


This demo includes 5 tracks out of which one is a bonus track and another an early version of "Forever". Enjoy!

2000s - #5: For Gov't Mule, the year 2000 began on a high note, wit he release of their 3rd studio album (and 5th album in total since their debut in 1995, including 2 live discs), entitled Life Before Insanity. The disc disc was a critical success, with Michael B. Smith of Allmusic giving it a 4 star rating, stating that 'the Mule has recorded what by all accounts seems to be their most creative and intelligent studio album to date." In addition, critic Marc Greilsamer noted that the band has "managed to craft a diverse and hardy 74-minute album, using a variety of moods, structures, textures, and time signatures, without ever really straying from their robust core sound." Unfortunately, the band would suffer a horrible loss that summer, when founding member and bass player Allen Woody was found dead in New York City on August 26th. This soundboard recording captures the band between triumph and tragedy, in Macon on March 25, 2000, 2 decades ago today.
