"...A La Prochaine, See You Next Time..."
What can I say, the man is a legend and pulled off another great show, quite effortlessly too apparently. It was my 9th time seeing him since 1989 and when I left the arena I felt the same I did in 1989 nearly 30 years ago, thanks Paul ! Like Mick once said "it can't last forever obviously" but until then I'll enjoy it to the max ! The show hasn't changed much since 2009 but the addition of a horn section this time around certainly adds some punch and was used to good effect on several tracks, like "Let Em In", my highlight for tonight, complete with the vintage videos from the UK in the 70s. Macca was in good voice in a live setting that ironically seems more forgiving than the studio with the loud volume and backup, in any case it was not "distracting" which is not bad at this stage in the game.
Recorded by WEBVAN - back of the seated floor, dead center in front of the desk with some rather chatty/singy people to my right, I suppose you can't blame people for sharing their enthusiasm...It was pretty loud and when listening with headphones the sound feels close to what we had at the show.
