By popular demand, following my Binney 2006 post, here is a terrific
performance by the Dave Binney Quartet, this time featuring Craig Taborn
who is also featured on many recent Tim Berne posts.

The subtle use of samplers and much more dynamic and muscular playing make
this, to my ears (and also member agentC), a much more satisying listen than
the rather restrained 2006 set.

Quality is about as good as it gets from the FM medium, with wonderfully
clear recording, so....

Enjoy!!

Another in my series of remasters of great Lewojazz recordings, this was fairly straightforward
with the cross-mixing making a substantial imoprovement to the SQ. Sounds really great now.

Sepe's ordinary cohorts helped by two international jazzstars, this is not strictly a zappa's tribute, as the title could have suggested, but it's more of a tribute to that era of seventies jazzrock like it could have been played by zappa's group circa 1974 [with George Duke and Napoleon Murphy Brock, but imagine here without Ruth Underwood], or Weather Report circa 1974 featuring an imaginary electric guitarist. Thus, it is beautiful music...  Setlist was not announced, so that I am missing a few titles: track06 is a known zappa's tune (maybe Uncle Meat ??) then going to a brief King Kong's theme that transforms itself in an african tune by Bowman, track12 is something from Weather Report or Miles Davis, others could be Sepe's own tunes, somewhere there sholud also be some theme by Nino Rota... Also included in this folder as track00 a radio introduction in ITALIAN with bio notes and commentaries - this intro runs for 4'23", you can skip downloading it if you don't understand italian.
