So this is for you my brother (I hope it's one you don't have) Hopefully this will tide you over while I look for "The Spring Valley Gig" I don't know why I have this in three parts, when I could have knocked it down to two, ah..I'm lazy. As a side note "The Boss" has left "The Adult Bookstore Motel" a complete mess...normally at the start of the month he has a cleaning crew come in and clean the place up. All I can figure is that he's out shooting off fireworks. Way back on the 195th birthday of the United States, on July 4, 1971, 46 years ago today. Bill Graham closed the legendary Fillmore West in San Francisco. That closing concert featured Tower Of Power, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Santana and an All Star Jam featuring a host of musicians from San Francisco.  As part of our Guitar Gods theme, we'll bring you the last 3 performances from that night, starting with this soundboard recording of CCR's set. Of course, Creedence front man John Fogerty is one of rock's legendary guitarists, whose distinctive style and sound created the genre now known as Swamp Rock. Rolling Stone ranked Fogerty 40th on its 2003 list of rock's greatest guitarist, though it somehow left him off the 2001 version of that ranking. Regardless, Fogerty;s playing, singing and writing has earned him his place as a Guitar God.

The Avett Brothers took the stage after Hayes Carll and before sheryl Crow. This recording has a couple known issues. The first is in track 01 about 30 seconds in. As I was checking my levels I noticed I had a problem and the levels were no where near where they were for the previous 2 bands. The mic gain switch had been moved from Medium to low. When I switched the settings back it made a popping noise. The other issue is the wind. It does blow into the mic at times, but this is still a good recording. This is my master recording. All I did was track it and create a md5.
