comments:
the Jeff Healey band also provided some of the music for the 1989 movie "road house"
(starring Patrick Swayze. tracks 2, 8 and 11 are all heard in that movie soundtrack.)
there is a gap where the broadcast signal drops out for about 26 seconds near the end of
the river. the radio announcer comes on and comments that they've lost the signal. I have
left that all in here, and not edited out the gap, just for the sake of leaving the actual
continuity intact as much as possible. the recording is complete except for that, and the
last few words of the radio announcer's closing comments. because this was recorded on a
full 7" reel side at 3.3/4 ips, there was no interruption of the recording and no other
music is missing from the show.
the FM reception has some static in parts, most noticable when Jeff talks between songs.
it never gets too bad and the stereo signal is there throughout.
Jeff Healey died of cancer on March 2, 2008, at age 41.
