Sheryl Crow is a long time support of Feed America,a nationwide network of food banks helping to provide food to more than 46 million people through 60,000 food pantries and meal programs. She also appeared at NetAid on October 9, 1999, the first benefit concert to specifically use the internet to raise funds. The Net Aid website received over 2.4 million hits and raised $830,000 from 80 countries, much of went to address hunger problems in Africa.
