Notes:
To the best of our knowledge, JEMS masters of the two Oakland Stadium shows on the Joshua Tree tour have never been widely circulated and with good reason. There are two other outstanding recordings of both shows, one set by our Taper Hall of Fame friend Mark Persic, and the other early digital masters done in the Sony PCM-F1 system with a portable Beta video recorder. Given that we just didn't bother but in the spirit of completeness we're offering them here. Amusingly, JEMS itself made two master recordings of the second show. I remember coming away from Oakland thinking it was one of the better stadium recordings I had ever made (I also recall beating a patdown search by strapping the D6 to my upper arm), only to find out it had been done even better by others. Anyway, we offer them both to you as our U2 shelf-clearing exercises continue.
