Band:
Andrew Schwab - Vocals
Darren King - Guitar, BGV
Cody Driggers - Bass, BGV
Abishai Collinsworth - Drums
Notes: Overall a fantastic night. We did the VIP ticket and it was so worth it. Early access to the venue. Before the concert they did an intimate pre-show performance for VIPs only. I included these files in the VIP folder and numbered all the tracks such that you could listen to them all as one playlist, thats why the main performance tracks start out with 08. Andrew did the vocals and Cody was on guitar (clean electric). Cody played 2 songs and then Darren came in and did the other 2. One of the songs is from Andrew's side project called London SIX Echo. Overall very cool. After that was some meet and greet with the band. Got some cool autographs on some vinyl covers, cd covers and my Ibanez guitar.
Ok so the main show starts with some opening bands. First up was "The Nasty Bits", then a band who's name I can't remember (they were awful anyway), then "Unstoppable Force" (they were alright), then "Boy Hits Car". A few notes about the last band, apparently they had been on hiatus for a little while or just hadn't played a show in over a year. Anyway these guys were really good, really polished. Tight musically and stage performance wise were excellent. Guess they have been around since about 1998.
Finally Project 86 hit the stage. The crowd was loud and jumping and totally into it. The band sounded great. I was off to the left a bit and about halfway up to the stage. I probably should of backed off some and centered myself some. A couple points I think the bass causes a little clipping in my recording but overall I was happy with it. Sometimes the guitar is a bit buried in the mix, not sure if it was where I was standing or just that was the mix from the board.
Last notes, I just wanted to say that the guys in the band were all so super nice and happy to sign whatever you wanted and talk with you and take pics etc. If you get a chance to see them, do it and buy their music.
