Another unforgettable musical experience in my life of so many shows. I'm not adept at cover bands and quite suspicious of the adaptation of rock to orchestra. However, I fully approved this adaptation and apparently for all the about 5000 people who were there. proof is number of encores that reached four. The highlight was the spalla that reproduced in the electric violin the solos of David Gilmour with absolute perfection to the point of exploding the excitement of the public. Another chilling moment was On the Run which, apart from some pre-recorded effects, had all the sounds of this song (if we can call it that) played by the orchestra and a small three-piece choir. The clarinet and trombone making the vocalization of Clare Torry was sensational as well. The show was held at Allianz Park Hall in one of the two funds of the soccer stadium of my beloved Palmeiras who became Brazilian champion last Sunday. It's the same place where the famous Rogers Waters show took place and I posted here about a month
ago. The venue was covered and the sound system great but as everything is not perfect, at times the microphones caught the wind that produced some strange noise (on the headset is quite perceptible). Besides, of course, some idiots at the next table who talked the whole show. But even so, for fans of the album and / or the band, it will not always be that a version of DSotM in an orchestral arrangement appears here. I hope some of you like the result.
